Samuel Cooper from May 16
Albert Sidney Johnston from May 28
Robert E. Lee June 14
Joseph E. Johnston from July 4
P. G. T. Beauregard from July 21

A skirmish takes place at Munson's Hill, otherwise known as Little River Turnpike, Virginia.
